Your files stay on your device

FitMerge is a page, not a service. There is nothing on our side that could see your activities.

Your activity files

FitMerge reads, merges and writes FIT, GPX and TCX files entirely in your browser. The files are never uploaded; there is no server that receives, stores or sees them. The merged file is created in memory and saved by your browser's download function. Closing the tab discards everything.

What does leave your browser

  • Map tiles. The map asks OpenStreetMap's tile servers for the map images around your activity, which tells them roughly which area was requested and your IP address, as with any web map.
  • Page analytics. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and browser types without cookies or personal identifiers. It does not see your files.
  • Usage counts. When you open a page, add files, merge, download or click Support, the page sends a short note of what happened (for example "merged 3 files, downloaded FIT") to FitMerge's own server on Cloudflare, which adds the country and whether it was a phone. It never includes file contents, file names, locations or activity times, and it uses no cookies and no identifier that outlasts the open page.
  • Support page. The coffee button links to Ko-fi, a separate site with its own privacy policy.

Accounts and cookies

There are no accounts, no sign-in, no cookies and no advertising. Nothing identifies you between visits.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard web server logs (IP address, requested URL, time) for operating the service.
